Grenache Cabernet 2006

My first release was the definition of a labour of love.


I wanted to create a medium bodied red for all season drinking. A style of wine that I love!


I used a blend of Grenache & Cabernet grown in my vineyard, which was handpicked, basket pressed, then spent 8 months in French oak.


The label is another story all together.


I was driving South along the Hume Hwy one day, and passed a road-train adorned with the most amazing scroll patterns. I envisaged these designs on a bottle and loved the thought of a truck inspired design presenting at a fine dining restaurant.


I hand-painted and numbered every wine label. 540 bottles were produced. My first vintage sold out in 6 weeks.
